Linda lives in Oklahoma City with her husband, Jim and two very spoiled mutts! Her studio occupies the second floor of their home. Her artwork runs the gambit of subject matter which is why she is known as the Eclectic Artist. #lhillerart
Linda is also known for her CLAYBOARD Etchings (scratchboard).
The media has three layers. A piece of masonite is covered by a layer of Kaolin clay (which is white and chalky), which in turn is covered with India ink. Using a sharp implement, she etches each hair, feather, etc. one at a time by hand on to the media. The result is a black and white image. She then colorizes the image using watercolors or other inks The image is then sealed, mounted and framed.
